Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Odeda Local Government, is widely respected for her dedication to grassroots development.

Her impactful projects during her first term have made her a beloved figure in the community, reinforcing her commitment to local progress.

During her recent campaign tour to Obete and Opeji Wards, Dr. Adeyemo received a warm welcome from party leaders, traditional chiefs, and community members, underscoring her popularity and influence in the region.

In Obete Ward, Dr. Adeyemo’s campaign was met with enthusiasm. Her Campaign Director General, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, rallied support for APC candidates in the upcoming local government elections.

The community head, Baale, raised concerns over lingering boundary issues and road upgrades, which Dr. Adeyemo pledged to prioritize if re-elected.

Hon. Musiliu Akanji Akindele, a former Chairman of Opeji Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Chair of the Special Duties Subcommittee for the Campaign Council, highlighted Dr. Adeyemo’s exceptional qualities and urged the community to vote en masse for the party on November 16.

Akindele, who previously contested against Dr. Adeyemo in the primaries, has since pledged his full support, demonstrating his dedication to the party’s unity and community welfare.

In Opeji Ward, Dr. Adeyemo was warmly received alongside Distinguished Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District.

Community leaders requested support for local amenities, including the Opeji Community High School, while the women’s leader called for women’s empowerment.

Senator Salisu, appreciating the community’s backing in the 2023 general elections, announced a donation of 1.5 million naira toward key projects in Opeji Ward.

He also committed to road improvements once the dry season begins, reflecting his dedication to community upliftment.

Senator Salisu praised Dr. Adeyemo for her leadership qualities, which he said reflect positively on Ogun State and the APC.

He also expressed gratitude to her spouse for supporting her in the party’s endeavors.

The event’s highlight was Senator Salisu’s formal presentation of the APC flag to Dr. Adeyemo, symbolizing the party’s endorsement.

The ceremony saw many new members join the APC, welcomed by Hon. Musulumi Saka and Alh. Mufutau Oguntola.

Dr. Adeyemo expressed her gratitude to God, party leaders, members, and the community for their support, underscoring her vision for continued development and good governance in Odeda Local Government.
