Party leaders hail loyalty, consistency

Stakeholders urge leaders to grant him ticket

Supporters cite grassroots impact, generosity

Olayinka Akinpelu

Ward executives and local government party leaders in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area have pledged support for the Ogun State House of Assembly aspiration of Honourable Sulaimon Mujaidu Ajibola, describing him as a loyal and consistent party man with strong grassroots appeal.

Ajibola met with local government executives and ward chairmen during his declaration, where he received a warm reception and endorsement from stakeholders across the council area.

Among those present were Adesina Nureni Ayinde, Foluke Funmilayo Oluwadare, Ganiyat Oyelakin, Adekunle Anifowose, and Emabinu Taofeek.

Leaders Applaud Loyalty, Party Commitment

Speaking at the gathering, the Chairman of Ofada Ward, Adekunle Anifowose, said Ajibola has remained committed to the party despite past political setbacks.

“He has been consistent and has never abandoned the party. Even when he was denied the opportunity previously, he continued to work with us and support the administration,” he said.

Anifowose described Ajibola as a patriotic member, urging party stakeholders to support his aspiration based on his dedication rather than financial strength.

Stakeholders Highlight Humility, Accessibility

Also speaking, Ganiyat Oyelakin said Ajibola’s humility and accessibility distinguish him among contenders.

“He answers whenever we call him and supports people regularly. We believe he will emerge victorious and serve the people well,” she said.

She advised that leaders who eventually emerge should prioritise the needs of the people.

Executives Promise Support, Call For Fair Consideration

Ward executives across the local government commended Ajibola’s contributions, noting that he has consistently supported party members and community initiatives.

They recalled that despite being dropped at a critical stage in the past due to party decisions, he remained committed and continued to invest in the growth of the party.

The executives described him as a well-known grassroots politician who has made visible impact across wards, adding that his support for members during festive periods and other times reflects his generosity.

They pledged to mobilise support for his emergence as the party’s candidate and appealed to party leaders and the apex body to grant him the opportunity to contest.

The Overall Chairman of Ward Chairmen in the local government, Mathew Sopade, reaffirmed the collective backing of the executives, expressing confidence that Ajibola would deliver if given the mandate.
