… Commends Senator Yayi’s foresight and commitment to Ogun’s development

… Praises Egbetokun’s presence for adding prestige to the ceremony

… Says governor’s leadership created enabling atmosphere for APC stakeholders

Olayinka Akinpelu

Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor, Honourable Sulaiman Mujaid Ajibola, has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for the successful commissioning of the campaign office of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, describing the event as another reflection of the governor’s leadership and commitment to the progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.

Ajibola, in a statement following the inauguration of the campaign secretariat at Omida, beside the Olubara Palace in Abeokuta, appreciated Governor Abiodun for providing the leadership that made the event a resounding success.

He said the governor’s visionary administration had created an enabling environment that continues to unite party leaders and members behind the shared objective of sustaining development in Ogun State.

The governor’s aide also congratulated Senator Adeola on the successful unveiling of the campaign office, describing the development as a significant milestone ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

According to him, the commissioning demonstrates Senator Yayi’s foresight, preparedness and unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Ogun State.

Ajibola further lauded the presence of former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, at the ceremony, noting that his attendance added colour, credibility and greater significance to the occasion.

He said Egbetokun’s endorsement of Senator Yayi reflects the growing confidence among party leaders in the senator’s leadership capacity and vision for the state.

The commissioning ceremony attracted a large gathering of APC leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders and other stakeholders from across Ogun State.

Speaking at the event, Egbetokun described Senator Yayi as a committed and experienced leader whose preparedness and grassroots connection position him to advance Ogun State’s socio-economic development.

In his remarks, Senator Adeola said the campaign office would serve as a centre for mobilisation, strategic planning and engagement with party members and residents across the 20 local government areas of the state, while reiterating his commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructure development, youth empowerment and investment promotion if elected governor in 2027.

The event also featured prayers for Senator Yayi, the APC and the continued peace and development of Ogun State, with several political leaders, traditional rulers and religious leaders in attendance.
