…‘November 16’ a Must-Win for APC, Says Ogun SA to Gov
Ahead of the Ogun State Local Government Elections set for November 16, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified its campaign efforts in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, with party leaders urging voters to secure victory for their candidates.
During a campaign rally, Special Adviser to governor on Works and Infrastructures, Engr. Akeem Babatunde fnse, called the election “a must-win” and emphasized the importance of high voter turnout.
Recalling his achievements as a former two-term Executive Chairman of Obafemi-Owode, Adesina stated, “You all remember the accomplishments we achieved together. Now, Amb. Ogunsola can achieve even more,” he said, referring to the APC Chairmanship candidate, Amb. Ogunsola ‘Lanre Adesina.
Amb. Ogunsola, who has been conducting a ward-to-ward campaign tour across the Local Government, expressed gratitude to his supporters in Kajola Ward 9 and Obafemi Ward 10 for their ongoing commitment.
“Your support has been invaluable. Together, we will ensure success in the upcoming election,” he said. He described the recent campaign visits to Ajebo and Alapako Wards as vital steps in mobilizing support for APC across Obafemi-Owode.
The campaign rally also drew traditional leaders, including the Baale of Kajola, Chief Kolawole Akinjobi, who called for infrastructure improvements in the region.
Chief Akinjobi urged Ogunsola, if elected, to prioritize the completion of the OGTV Road, a critical link connecting Kajola, Obafemi, Fidiwo, Ajebo, and surrounding areas. “This road is vital to our community’s growth and connectivity,” Chief Akinjobi noted.
Responding to these concerns, Engr. Adesina assured the crowd that the government has already resumed work on the road. “Construction workers have returned to the site,” he said.
“With your continued patience and support, we will see this project through to completion under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun.”
The November 16 election is seen as crucial for the APC in Obafemi-Owode, with leaders and supporters unified in their commitment to a decisive victory across the Local Government Area.
