The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State officially flagged off its campaign for the upcoming local government elections yesterday, with a vibrant and colorful event held at the council’s headquarters in Odeda.

The ceremony marked the start of the campaign trail for Hon. Folasade Waliat Adeyemo, PhD, the APC chairmanship candidate, as well as other candidates vying for various positions in the local government.

Hon. Adeyemo, flanked by key leaders of the APC in Odeda, presented the party’s candidates to the enthusiastic crowd of supporters.

Among the groups showing support were the Achievers Progressive Women, Fola Unique Ladies, Fola Amazon Mothers, FASO Women, and Odeda Likeminds, while the Amuludun Melody Band added a festive flair to the event.

The local government party chairman, Hon. Musulumi Saka, set the tone for the event with an opening remark praising the dedication and unity of party members.

“Your commitment to the success of the party is commendable. Together, we will achieve victory at the polls,” he said, energizing the crowd.

Other notable dignitaries at the event included the former local government chairman and current campaign Director General, Alhaji Bola Lawal, the deputy chairmanship candidate, Hon. Adigun, as well as the incoming councillors, women leaders, and ward chairmen.

Alhaji Lawal highlighted the comprehensive nature of the campaign organization, announcing the formation of various committees to drive the election efforts.

These committees, which cover areas such as health, finance, welfare, mobilisation, youth engagement, and security, will work tirelessly to ensure a smooth campaign and ultimate victory for the party.

Leaders of these committees pledged total commitment, with Hon. Nureni Adenekan, chairman of the Ward Chairmen, assuring the crowd of their determination to secure the party’s success at the polls.

“We are ready to work hard for the victory of the APC in every ward and at every level,” he declared.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Adeyemo expressed her deep gratitude to the party leadership for entrusting her with the mandate to run for a second term as chairperson.

“I sincerely thank the people of Odeda for their unwavering belief in me. I promise to deliver more dividends of democracy in my next tenure,” she assured.

The party’s elder statesman, Pa Pastor Fajimin, provided words of wisdom and encouragement, calling for unity and urging party members to remain dedicated and focused on the task ahead.

“Let us stand together, free from rancor, and work towards the overall victory of the APC. To the incoming chairman, I charge you to lead a purposeful administration that will positively transform Odeda,” he advised.

With the campaign officially underway, the APC in Odeda Local Government has set its sights on securing a landslide victory in the upcoming elections, buoyed by the confidence and enthusiasm of party members and supporters.
