The DSS Foundation, spearheaded by Dr. Seun Sokan, has brought relief to thousands of students in the Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State through the donation of educational materials worth millions of naira.
During a recent 3-day campaign, the foundation distributed uniforms, sandals, biros, bags, exercise books, and other essential items to primary and secondary school students across 12 schools in the region. Among the beneficiaries were Odogbolu Grammar School, Ibefun/Ilado Comprehensive High School, St. John’s Primary School, and Idowa Comprehensive High School.
Project Coordinator Mr. Daniel Sodeinde emphasized the foundation’s dedication to supporting education, particularly in light of the current economic challenges. “The founder, Dr. Seun Sokan, is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. These materials are meant to ease the burden on parents and make learning more accessible to the children,” Sodeinde said.
The campaign has been met with widespread appreciation from students, teachers, and the broader community. “This generous support from the foundation has made education more appealing and accessible to the next generation. It’s a huge relief for many families,” Comrade Sodeinde added.
In addition to the donation, the foundation plans to launch a football competition for local youth, further contributing to the community’s development. Many look forward to the foundation’s future projects, hoping to witness even greater impact.
The beneficiary schools also include St. James Primary School Mobalufon, St. John’s Primary School Ilado, Ogbo United Primary School Ogbo, Araromi Community Primary School, and Ijagun, among others.
