The newly appointed Director of Administration at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Mr. Exodus Kehinde Apanisile, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders for his appointment.
In a letter obtained by Medalinks News 24, Mr. Apanisile praised the Ministry for upholding due process and fairness throughout the selection process, which led to his emergence as the substantive Director of Administration.
“I write on behalf of the entire members of staff and all the labour unions at FMC Abeokuta to express our sincere appreciation to the Hon. Minister of State for Health, Hon. Isaiq Salako, and other directors, including Dr. Salahudeen, Ms. Tetshoma T. Dafeta, and Dr. (Mrs.) Adegoke, for their instrumental efforts in ensuring a transparent and merit-based process,” the letter read.
He further noted that their dedication to fairness has not gone unnoticed and pledged to work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in him.
“The entire staff of the hospital is confident that under my leadership as Director of Administration, FMC Abeokuta will experience peace, growth, and innovation that will benefit both staff and patients,” Mr. Apanisile stated.
Appointment Process Hailed as Transparent
The appointment, detailed in a letter dated December 24, 2024, followed a rigorous selection process, including interviews conducted by the Ministry of Health. The letter, signed on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, conveyed the Ministry’s approval for Mr. Apanisile’s appointment, effective December 20, 2024.
“Following your performance at the interview conducted by the Ministry for the post of Director of Administration, I am directed to convey approval of the Permanent Secretary for your appointment as the substantive Director of Administration, FMC Abeokuta,” the appointment letter stated.
The staff at FMC Abeokuta have expressed optimism about Mr. Apanisile’s leadership, highlighting his qualifications and potential to drive positive changes within the hospital.
“His appointment is a breath of fresh air,” one staff member remarked. “We are hopeful that his tenure will foster a culture of innovation and excellence.”
Mr. Apanisile also pledged to prioritize collaboration and efficiency in coordinating the activities of the hospital’s administration, with a focus on improving the healthcare experience for patients and staff alike.
