
Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo, the newly elected Chairman of Odeda Local Government, alongside Vice Chairman Hon. Nasiru Yaya Adigun, officially took the oath of office today at the Cinema Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The ceremony witnessed a large turnout of family members, party leaders, supporters, and well-wishers.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, who presided over the swearing-in, charged the newly inaugurated local government chairmen across the state to prioritize democracy, transparency, and socio-economic development.
He urged them to ensure accountability while delivering impactful governance at the grassroots.
In her inaugural address, Hon. Dr. Adeyemo pledged to run an inclusive administration centered on grassroots engagement and transformational leadership.
She assured the residents of Odeda Local Government of significant achievements and called for collective efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy.
“Governance is about the people, and together we must rise above party, religious, tribal, or ethnic differences to achieve our shared vision for Odeda.
I invite all stakeholders to collaborate in advancing the welfare of our people,” she said.
Dr. Adeyemo reiterated her commitment to aligning with Governor Abiodun’s ISEYA mantra, focusing on Infrastructure, Social Development, Education, Youth Empowerment, and Agriculture.
She further highlighted her administration’s GBAYI mantra, promising to build on her first-term successes for the continued transformation of Odeda Local Government.
With the swearing-in concluded, Hon. Dr. Adeyemo and her team are set to deliver on their mandate, bringing transformative leadership to the people of Odeda.
