…Obafemi Owode APC Chairmanship Candidate Seeks Total Party Cooperation Ahead of November Polls

As the Ogun State local government elections draw closer, Ambassador Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Obafemi Owode Local Government, declared his unwavering commitment to the party and his community, stating, “My best is yet to come.”

During an important meeting convened by the APC Apex body in Obafemi Owode, Ogunsola rallied for unity and cooperation within the party, urging all members to come together in preparation for the November 16th elections.

Speaking at the gathering, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, called for “unalloyed cooperation and dedication” from party members, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming election for both the party’s future and the local government’s development.

Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, who also addressed the members, stressed the need for mobilization, saying, “The goal is not just to win but to build a formidable presence that resonates with the people, ensuring APC remains the party to reckon with.”

He further urged aspirants to rally behind the party’s chosen flag bearer, noting that “APC is one body with no group or faction, unlike our rivals.”

Ogunsola, in his address, expressed deep gratitude to the leaders of the APC Apex body for their trust and support. He praised Governor Dapo Abiodun’s leadership, particularly citing the governor’s recent role in the Southern Governors Forum and the success of APC in Edo State. “We have a clear vision of victory in Ogun State, just as we achieved in Edo and hope to replicate in Ondo,” he stated confidently.

Ogunsola also assured the party of his continued dedication to delivering dividends of democracy, stating, “I shall at all times work for the unity, cooperation, and progress of Obafemi Owode Local Government.” He called on party members to mobilize voters, as he vowed to fulfill his campaign promises once re-elected.

In a show of solidarity, Hon. Asalulola Abiola, who previously aspired for the chairmanship candidacy, declared his support for Ogunsola and urged all party members to do the same. “We stand united behind Ambassador Ogunsola and all our candidates for the upcoming election,” he affirmed.

Also present at the meeting were notable party leaders, including Chief Idowu Olude, Hon. Nike Osoba, Hon. Erinsan, Hon. Adeola Akintande, Hon. Fatai Mustapha, Alhaji Olayiwola Sobayo, and Chief Dipo Akingbade, among others. Their collective presence underscored the importance of unity within the party ahead of the upcoming elections.
