The Ogun State Government has designated Friday, November 15, as a work-free day for all civil servants across the state.
This decision, outlined in a circular signed by Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, the Ogun State Head of Service, was approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun to encourage civil servants to participate actively in the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, November 16.
The circular emphasized that the work-free day will allow citizens to fulfill their civic responsibilities without workplace obligations.
Governor Abiodun’s initiative underscores his administration’s commitment to fostering democratic participation and civic engagement throughout Ogun State.
“This move reflects the Governor’s dedication to supporting the democratic process and empowering citizens to exercise their voting rights,” the circular noted.
