…Celebrates Sonola’s Contributions to Crime-fighting, Human Rights Activist
The Ogun State Youth Wing of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) inducted Venerable Superior Evangelist Prophet Dr. Ambassador Emmanuel Olayinka Sonola, JP, as the Patron of the organization.
The prestigious event drew a large crowd of well-wishers, dignitaries, and community leaders who gathered to witness the honor bestowed upon the revered cleric.
Welcoming the attendees, Surveyor Bayo Oyelakin, the Technical Youth Coordinator of the PCRC, emphasized that Ambassador Sonola’s induction was well-deserved, noting his significant contributions to crime-fighting and human rights activism in Ogun State.
“This award was not purchased; it was earned through the unwavering commitment of Ambassador Sonola to ensuring peace and justice in our community,” Oyelakin stated.
The highlight of the event was a lecture delivered by PCRC State Chairman, Ven. Dr. Samson Kunle Popoola, who spoke on the critical role of the PCRC in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
He encouraged religious leaders to actively collaborate with law enforcement by providing vital information that could help curb criminal activities.
“Religious leaders are in a unique position to influence society positively. By working with the police, we can expose criminal elements and foster a safer environment for all,” Popoola said.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for the area, CSP Enatufeh Omoh, also addressed the gathering, expressing his openness to working with individuals and groups committed to supporting the police in maintaining peace and security in Ogun State.
“My office is always open to anyone willing to partner with us to make Ogun State a peaceful and crime-free environment,” Omoh remarked.
The ceremony was graced by a range of notable figures, including representatives from the PCRC Metro Area, So Safe Corps, NSCDC, traditional leaders, and religious organizations such as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), OAIC, and Celestial Shepherds. Members of the media were also in attendance to cover the event.
The induction of Ambassador Sonola as Patron of the PCRC Youth Wing marks a significant milestone in the organization’s efforts to strengthen community-police relations and enhance the fight against crime in Ogun State.
